The Baseball & Rounders Pitch at Boscawen Park provides a versatile outdoor space suitable for baseball, rounders and other small-sided field sports. The well-maintained grass playing area is ideal for clubs, schools, youth groups and community organisations looking for a flexible venue for both organised games and recreational activities.
The adaptable open layout allows the space to accommodate coaching sessions, friendly matches and competitive play, with ample surrounding space providing a safe environment for participants of all ages and abilities.
Located within the wider park setting, the pitch offers an attractive and accessible location for summer sport, community events and group activities, making it an excellent choice for both regular bookings and occasional use.
Equipment & services
Includes baseball bats and baseballs. You are welcome to use your own baseball equipment.
For sports training sessions taking place on the external pitches, one booking includes the use of a single changing room. Where multiple training sessions are taking place at the same time, changing rooms will be booked on a first come first served basis. Changing rooms are not available for use by under 16 teams.
Changing room hire includes access from 30 minutes before the start of the booked sports facility session and up to 30 minutes after the session ends.
For sports matches and organised activities taking place on the external pitches, one booking includes the use of two changing rooms, to accommodate both teams and access to the officials changing room. Where multiple matches are taking place at the same time, the officials' changing room may be shared.

As there are no public storage facilities within the park for portable goals, hirers wishing to undertake training sessions should provide their own equipment or consider using temporary training markers, such as cones or marker discs, where appropriate.
