Booking & Payments
How do I make a booking?
Simply browse our available facilities, select your preferred space, date and time, complete the online booking form and submit your request. Pay & Play bookings will require immediately online payment. All other bookings will be submitted for review and will require approval before being confirmed.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Creating an account allows you to manage your bookings, receive confirmations and invoices, and view your booking history.
Can I book multiple dates at once?
Yes. Regular users can request multiple sessions or block bookings, making it easy to secure dates for clubs, classes and recurring activities.
How do I pay?
Payment instructions will be provided during the booking process or with your booking confirmation. Some bookings may require payment before they are confirmed.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for long-term and block bookings.
- 6–11 consecutive sessions – 5% discount
- 12–25 consecutive sessions – 10% discount
- 26+ consecutive sessions – 15% discount
Discounts are applied automatically where eligible.

What facilities can I book?
Boscawen Park Pavilion offers a range of indoor and outdoor facilities, including:
- Main Sports Hall
- Studios Spaces
- Kitchen
- Football Pitches
- Cricket Pitch
- Baseball / Rounders Pitch
- Performance Space
- Pétanque Piste
- Outdoor Recreation Areas
Availability varies throughout the year.
Can I hire the entire Pavilion?
Yes. The Pavilion can be hired exclusively for larger events, conferences or community functions. As availability is limited, should you wish to discuss exclusive hire of the Pavilion please contact the Pavilion team at boscawenpavilion@truro.gov.uk, in the first instance.
Can I hire equipment?
Yes. Equipment is available for many activities, including badminton, pickleball, basketball, table tennis, netball and other sports. Available equipment will be shown when making your booking.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring your own equipment provided it is suitable for indoor or outdoor use and does not damage the facilities.
Sports Bookings
Are football goals provided?
Goals are provided for match bookings where appropriate, you will be asked to select your required pitch configuration during the booking process.
For training sessions, match goals will not be available. Due to the absence of public goal storage within the park, teams should be prepared to use temporary training equipment such as cones or portable markers where required.
Are changing rooms included?
A booking for changing facilities alongside a pitch booking provides access to two changing rooms, typically one for each participating team and access to an officials’ changing room. Where multiple matches are taking place at the same time, the officials’ changing room may be shared.
Users of the Main Sports Hall may use changing rooms where required; however, access remains subject to availability and operational requirements.
Can I book Pay & Play sessions?
Yes. Casual Pay & Play sessions are available for a variety of sports including badminton, basketball, pickleball and table tennis.
Events & Community Hire
Can I hold an event at the Pavilion?
Yes. We welcome a wide variety of community, charity, sporting and corporate events.
Some events may require additional documentation before approval.
Will I need to provide any documents?
Depending on your event, you may be asked to provide one or more of the following:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Risk Assessment
- Event Management Plan
- Temporary Event Notice (TEN)
- PRS/PPL Music Licence (where applicable)
- Event Notification Form
Requirements will depend on the nature of your booking.
Can I sell alcohol?
Alcohol sales are subject to licensing legislation.
If your event includes the sale of alcohol, please contact us before booking to discuss the licensing requirements.
Your Booking
Can I amend my booking?
Where possible, yes. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes. Amendments are subject to availability.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Please refer to our Conditions of Hire for our cancellation policy and any applicable charges.
What happens if poor weather affects my booking?
Outdoor bookings may occasionally be affected by severe weather. Where appropriate, we'll contact you to discuss available options.
Access & Parking
Is parking available?
Yes. There are two car parks available at Boscawen Park. Your first 4 hours are free, however you mush obtain a ticket from the machine. Please see car park signage for further charges.

Is the Pavilion accessible?
Yes. The Pavilion has been designed to be fully accessible and includes:
- Step-free access
- Lift to the first floor
- Accessible toilets
- Accessible changing facilities
- Accessible parking nearby

General Information
What are your opening hours?
Opening hours for the Pavilion vary depending on bookings and seasonal demand. Current opening hours are shown on our website.
Can children use the facilities?
Yes. Many of our facilities are suitable for children and young people. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult where appropriate. Minimum age for unsupervised children wanting to enjoy a Pay & Play session is 12 years old.
Are dogs allowed?
Well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome in wider outdoor areas of the park but are not permitted inside the Pavilion or on the sports field (except registered assistance dogs).
